  • Do you offer a free trial class?
Yes, we do as we feel it’s important for you to know that the class is suitable before you sign up.
  • What does my child wear to his/her first class?
Pleas send your dancer along in tights and a t-shirt with comfortable shoes for their first class. Don’t forget a labelled water bottle.
  • Are fees paid weekly?
We invoice per school term. Fees are due by week two of each term. If a student misses a class, you may request a make-up lesson in terms 1,2 & 3 only.
  • Is there an enrolment fee?
An annual non-refundable registration fee of $35 per student, $55 for two siblings or $65 for three or more siblings must be paid to cover administration costs, insurance and intellectual property fees for music.
  • Can parents watch the classes?
This is not allowed due to distractions that occur with parents and siblings in the room. One of our rooms has glass doors and the other will remain open when appropriate. ‘Ready set dance’ parents may sit in and watch the first class to help settle their young child into class. There are special tactics to help ease your child into class so please don’t worry if it takes a few classes for them to settle.
  • Do we need to purchase uniform and shoes?
All students must wear correct uniform and footwear in all dance classes. All students are required to have the uniform within one month of commencing classes. We cannot stress enough the importance of uniforms. They not only enhance the student’s sense of importance as a dancer, but also empowers them that sense of pride and ownership in their dance school and their dancing group. All studio uniform items are ordered directly through us and we have size samples available. Dance shoes can be purchased at Centre Stage Dancewear in Seven Hills.
  • Does my child need to participate in the end of year concert?
The Concert is NOT compulsory but is highly recommended. It’s a great way to reward students for their hard work all year. It gives each child joy and builds their confidence. It’s a rewarding experience for them to get up on stage and perform to family and friends. Step in Time hold one concert for our pre-school students and another for our school age students.
  • Do I need to purchase costumes for the concert?
You will be required to purchase one costume per class that your child is enrolled in. We work extremely hard to ensure that costumes are reasonably priced for our families while maintaining a professional standard.
