TEACHERS

Miss Courtney

Courtney has been a teacher here at SITTS for 10 years.

Her love for dance started at the age of 5 where she was introduced to the styles of jazz, tap and ballet; as she became older and her passion grew, she studied new styles of dance such as contemporary, lyrical and hip hop (tap was always the favorite).

At the age of 13 Courtney began to study the Glenn Wood tap syllabus attending multiple workshops while participating in exam work. Courtney always received a mark above 95% and received a gold award in her level 7 exam

In 2008 Courtney competed at the Bring It On Festival where her hip hop dance crew placed 1st! Hip hop was not her strong suit but she has continually loved the style and the energy it brings to a stage.

Courtney also attended the Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE) studying a Bachelor of Dance degree. In the years studying at the college she had the opportunities to work with many amazing and skilled choreographers and teachers who helped her develop her technique, teaching methods and further her passion for dance.
